• As it charts its path on the other side of the pandemic, Alaska Airlines membership to the oneworld alliance became official on March 31. With that membership comes a serious bulking-up with American Airlines as it defends its home turf in Seattle.
• The February 2018 engine failure aboard United flight 1175 was far more harrowing than its outcome suggested, according to its captain. That has broader implications for an industry studying putting fewer pilots in the cockpit.
