Electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft were difficult to miss at this year’s Farnborough International Airshow. U.K.-based Vertical Aerospace had a full-scale mockup of its VX4 air taxi on display, and Eve, Lilium, Overair, Supernal and Wisk all had a highly visible presence at the show. But other leading eVTOL developers sat it out, perhaps opting to prioritize the costly work of bringing new aircraft to market over industry visibility.
