在波音737 Max继续停飞之际,空客一直保持沉默。但在巴黎航展之前,空客首席执行官纪尧姆·福里(Guillaume Faury)却参与了Max停飞话题的讨论。
关于737 Max复飞问题,福里对不同国家采用不同监管标准的战略性和实际性影响表达了自己的担忧。他在接受《The Air Current气流》采访时表示,“这是我跟业内人士分享的想法,想让他们记住这一点。”

“我所知道的是,如果我们不能让有关当局遵守相同标准,这将危害到航空业(的发展)。有了【监管协调】,才会有明确的投资、清晰的监管框架、以及长足发展。”福里表示,“对这种情况,我认为,重中之重是航空监管当局要保持一致性……因为这是航空业中长期发展的需要,这一点非常重要。”

空客拒绝说出福里同谁进行了此番讨论。

波音自身没有将监管一致性公开地放在首要位置,而是将重心放在了可能更快地增加各地区的飞机复飞上。但是了解公司内部想法的人士却表示,波音强烈认识到监管一致性的缺乏可能会无意中对航空业造成巨大损害。
