Boeing will consolidate 787 assembly operations to South Carolina
Assembly of Boeing's long-range 787 will be done exclusively in South Carolina by mid-2021.
Boeing officially notified employees early Thursday morning that it intends to close its Everett, Wash. 787 Dreamliner final assembly line and consolidate its operations to its east coast manufacturing outpost in North Charleston, S.C. by mid-2021, according to two people briefed on the decision.
