Emirates remains “frustrated” about delays in the Boeing 777-9 program, but President Sir Tim Clark said he is confident the airframer has ironed out the kinks in the aircraft’s development and certification process.
“We had been pretty pessimistic,” Clark told reporters in Istanbul at the International Air Transport Association’s Annual General Meeting, adding that the airline threatened to cancel its order for 115 777-9s. “But we are optimistic,” he said of the jet now due in 2025. “Boeing has got its act together.”
