Boeing has presented four-year contract offers to the negotiators representing 17,000 engineers, scientists and technical workers, aiming to reach a deal with its unionized white-collar workers well before their contract expires Oct. 6.
The terms of the proposals, reached after a month of contract talks, won’t be immediately shared with union members or the general public under the governing documents of the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA), IFPTE Local 2001.
The union’s professional and technical negotiating teams both endorsed the offer, saying it provides “real and meaningful value to the membership, delivers real positive change to work/life balance and delivers on the membership’s priorities,” according to a July 30 update posted to SPEEA’s website.
