据四位了解该公司计划的知情人士透露,空客(Airbus)将于下周举办的巴黎航展(Paris Air Show)上推出升级版的A321XLR,这是该公司针对单通道飞机完成的又一次性能提升。该升级版机型会增加航程,并力图挤压波音(Boeing)对其新中型客机的选择范围。

于下周6月17日开始举行的两年一次航空航天展览会上,空客将继续在喷气式飞机正式商业秀上确定买家名单,不过,这次商业秀将不仅会获得新采购承诺,还包括对现有A320neo系列飞机订单的转化。该机型的巴黎交易将收获来自世界各地的买家,包括至少一家美国航空公司,据其中两位知情人士透露。

空客尚未披露该款飞机的公司性能规格,但其中一位知情人士在介绍该飞机性能时表示,该飞机将能够在满载240名乘客及其行李,且在通常的季节性逆风条件下,完成从纽约到洛杉矶的美国洲际飞行。

空客发言人表示,公司将继续研究改进A320系列飞机的方法。外界普遍预期空客将会在巴黎航展上推出这款飞机,但在该公司于5月份举办的图卢兹“创新日(Innovation Days)”活动上,空客领导层似乎对该款飞机的推出时间持保留态度。
