Eric Schulz is out as Airbus’s top salesman. Schulz, of course, was tasked with filling the biggest shoes in the industry – those of the inimitable John Leahy, whose reputation as the eminently quotable, aggressive, and remarkably effective jetliner sales chief helped give Airbus one-half of its duopoly status. Leahy was an Airbus employee for 33 years and a strategic architect of the company’s ascent.
Schulz’s tenure lasted 316 days.
