加拿大戴哈维兰德飞机(有限)公司(De Havilland Aircraft of Canada)调整其商业战略,将目光锁定亚洲市场——包括在中国境内为中国航空公司组装涡桨飞机的尝试。

该公司是6月1日通过从庞巴迪先前项目Q400中剥离成立的一家公司。倚靠私营公司朗维尤航空资本公司(Longview Aviation Capital)的支持,该公司开始单打独斗、开拓市场。针对Dash 8-400涡桨飞机的推广,戴哈维兰德(De Havilland)将俄罗斯和中国作为其两大重要海外市场。对戴哈维兰德(De Havilland)涡桨飞机而言,偏远地区机场数量日益增长的中国和俄罗斯(尤其是中国)市场无疑是充满诱惑的大蛋糕。

“对我们而言,这些都是非常重要的市场” 戴哈维兰德(De Havilland)首席运营官托德·杨(Todd Young)表示。无论是庞巴迪(现在的“戴哈维兰德”),还是ATR公司,都尚未进入中国市场。截至7月底,戴哈维兰德(De Havilland)订单积压量为48架,已经完成交付量为600架。
