Spirit Airlines has begun a shutdown of its operations after what is expected to be the final flight of the 43-year old carrier, The Air Current is told by a person directly familiar with the airline’s activities. NK1833 arrived in Dallas-Ft. Worth from Detroit shortly after midnight local time, arriving at gate E32 at around 12:17am, according to Flightradar24.

A spokesperson for Spirit Airlines did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
