范堡罗——一对纸飞机,两套大相径庭的策略。

尚处于蓝海之中的中型客机市场,在未来空域饱和的情况下正日益凸显其重要性,为争夺这一市场,波音和空客两家的纸上飞机已然开始打得火热。

波音计划推出全新设计,空客则决定推出现有机型升级版。这种策略的差异早有先例,比如2005年的A350计划和2011年波音对737的升级换代。这场论战最终的成果,便催生了A350XWB(超宽体飞机)和737Max。

波音计划于2019年一季度决定其是否要正式推出小型双通道新中型市场飞机(NMA),但空客的答复则始终没有给出定论。

空客民用飞机总裁纪尧姆 · 傅里 (Guillame Faury)表示,空客也在考虑将于2019年推出A321neo的升级版,民间称其为A321XLR。

傅里在接受《气流》(The Air Current)杂志采访时介绍道:“我们会从供应链,空客内部,航空公司反馈等各方面进行充分评估,在明年形成慎重的结论,由此决定我们是否要继续推进项目。而这个答案很可能是肯定的。”
