与上述工作齐头并进的,还有波音即将完成并开始交付的首架KC-46空中加油机,正在整修并即将升空的CST-100航天飞船,和处于开发阶段的美国空军教练机和美国海军的MQ-25舰载无人加油机。

在为波音新中型市场客机(NMA)选配发动机方面,CFM国际集团,普拉特惠特尼(普惠)公司和罗尔斯罗伊斯(罗罗)公司将分别于12月底向波音提交其最优惠的最终报价。目前,根据熟悉项目规划的人士判断,最终的决定将在2月前后作出。据熟悉此项目内幕的人员透露,这些时间节点最终都将指向该项目最重要的商业决策:是否要在3月份正式推出NMA客机,甚至早在6月份的巴黎航展上宣布首批订单,进行正式的商业启动
