源于波音和空客间的长期产品战略决策、地缘政治动荡和严重行业后遗症的影响,在各国封关抗疫冬季过去之后的洛杉矶的这个夏季,再次迎来两者间的交战。在2020年航空业崩溃之后紧随的几年,都会是失衡发展的几年,而在此之前,两大飞机制造商之间曾保持着势均力敌的地位,这会是航空业构造板块的一个重大变化。

单通道喷气式飞机主导了空客和波音的业务重点。空客确定了疫后生产计划,即截至年底,要每月制造50架单通道飞机,并谋划着在本10年期中期之前大幅增加产量——约高出目前产量的90%。波音的境况却与此不同,截止到波音飞机一拖再拖的停飞之后的第二年年初,由于737Max未获中国重新认证的影响,其生产恢复到每月31架。

在接受《The Air Current气流》在洛杉矶进行的一对一采访时,Air Lease Corporation(ALC)首席执行官约翰·普洛戈(John Plueger)表示,随着对空客A321neo各变体机型的需求,“会有……很大的变化,这个变化令空客认为它将要主导市场份额。所以,现在是时候了。是时候去争取了。并且这实际上是非常自然的一个市场决定。”
