The White House is preparing two executive orders concerning drone operating rules and national security implications that are expected to be signed as soon as Wednesday, June 4, according to multiple people briefed on the matter.
The two orders are the culmination of a months-long effort by industry to advance key policy goals in what one industry executive described as a “Christmas tree” of initiatives. The orders now include a large swath of policies that have grown in scope as the executive orders were delayed, having originally been slated for release in the early weeks of President Donald Trump’s second term.
